About Me

Erika Barger, PT, DPT, PCS

Erika is a board-certified pediatric physical therapist who is passionate about helping children build strong movement foundations through play, confidence, and family support. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire and her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Chapman University in California.

Erika has extensive experience working with infants and children of all ages and abilities, across a wide range of diagnoses. She has a special interest in supporting babies with developmental delays and torticollis, and she is especially passionate about guiding families through early gross motor milestones such as tummy time, rolling, sitting, crawling, and walking.

Erika believes the best progress happens when families are actively involved. She takes a family-centered approach, partnering closely with caregivers to create individualized goals and treatment plans that fit naturally into daily routines.

Outside of the clinic, Erika has been a children’s ski instructor with Vail Resorts since 2016, teaching kids ages 3–6 how to ski. She holds a PSIA-AASI Level 1 certification in ski and snowboard instruction, blending her love of movement, play, and confidence-building both on and off the slopes.

❊ Diagnoses

As a pediatric physical therapist, Erika supports children across a wide range of ages, abilities, and diagnoses. Whether your child is recovering after a fracture or surgery, learning ACL injury-prevention exercises, training for an upcoming competition, or working toward their first steps, Erika can help them heal, build strength, and return to sport with confidence.

Erika offers both one-on-one and small-group services, depending on your child’s needs and goals. She partners with families to improve strength, coordination, balance, and motor skills so kids can participate more fully at home, school, sports, and in the community.

Below is a list of common diagnoses Erika treats. If your child’s diagnosis isn’t listed, that’s okay—every child is unique. Erika is always happy to talk through your child’s individual needs, answer questions, and help you decide if Mountain Minis Physical Therapy is the right fit.

Stay tuned for upcoming 1:1 aquatic therapy sessions!
